These are so cute. I have the adult version and my daughter wanted matching ones. I was delighted to see these made in kids sizes. Her true size is a 12.5 and these are 12-13 so they are big but not too big that she cannot wear them. If your child is on the low end of the range it may be too big but the straps are adjustable and so they don’t flop around there is just more surface area.
